Yesterday's service was awesome.
Pastor Khong spoke about the Cross and come to think of it, all of us probably have different answers on what the cross symbolizes.
Well there are three answers.
The cross represents God's love for us, the suffering Jesus went through and His victory at the end (:
It always amazes me how righteous and loving Jesus was to have the courage to be made a public spectacle just right before his death. Well, actually "righteous" and "loving" is an understatement. People openly humiliated him and treated him as if he was the ultimate scum on Earth. My heart weeps while watching the Passion Of Christ. I mean, Jesus, who'd never committed a single sin in his life, had to die anyway in the end because of the sins of Man. And he wasn't as if he was forced to. He was just told, and he obliged. Yes, he obliged to dying in what was considered to be the most painful and humiliating way to die.
Sorry, this post is awfully wordy and I didn't plan for it to be because i actually wanted to tell you about what happened after service but I can't help but share this because I just feel so strongly about it.
